Welcome to the San Diego Lightwave Users Group home page. We are a professional networking group interested in 3D design and animation featuring Newtek's Lightwave 3D software. Membership is free. We are open to all interested individuals, regardless of their current skill level in Lightwave software.


We encourage members to submit their work to the mambers gallery. This is your opportunity to introduce yourself to the Lightwave 3D community.

We usually meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm. During this time there is an opportunity to exchange information, hear presentations, enjoy fun discussions, and share demo reels.

We also encourage you to participate in the San Diego Lightwave Users Group yahoo forum at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/SDLWUG/

Meetings take place at the Center for the Communication Arts (cca-sd.com) in the Clairemont Mesa area near the Balboa and Genesee intersection (see "directions" page). CCA has been gracious enough to host our meetings. It is a learning center that offers PC and MacIntosh users access to hardware, application software and training resources for learning and exploring new techniques and skills. The Center also offers training sessions in graphics, photography and very enlightening sessons on aesthetics.

We encourage to you to join us for outstanding presentations and discussion & networking. It's best to stop by early when you come to the meetings so you can chat with some of our members and enjoy our refreshments. Posted below is the planned date of our next meeting.
